What Personal Information We Collect From You

We receive and store any information you enter on our Site or provide to us in any other way. This includes information that can identify you (“personal information”), including your first and last name, e-mail address, mailing address, mobile phone number, social media links and billing information (such as credit card number, cardholder name, and expiration date). We collect personal information from you and any devices (including mobile devices) you use when you: use our Site, register for an account with us, provide information to us on a web form, update or add information to your account, participate in an ISO, or when you otherwise correspond with us.

We do not require you to submit personal information to us while browsing the Site. However, we do collect your personal information in the following circumstances:

  1. When you register for an account with us, we collect identifying information such as your name, e-mail address, mobile phone number and social media links.
  2. When you participate in an ISO, we collect billing information (such as credit card number, cardholder name, expiration date, mailing address and/or bank account details), buying or selling information related to such ISO, or other transaction-based information connected to your account as a result of participating in such ISO, and details of your transaction history.
  3. When you provide us with other information through a web form, by updating or adding information to your account, through your participation in member-to-member communications, or when you otherwise communicate with us regarding the Site.
  4. When we are required or authorized by applicable national laws to collect and process your personal information in order to authenticate or identify you or to verify the information we have collected.

Please note that you can always choose not to provide us with certain information, but this may limit the features of the Site you are able to use.

What Information Is Automatically Collected From You/Cookies

As is true of most other websites, our Site collects certain information automatically and stores it in log files. The information may include information from and about the devices you use to access the Site. This includes things like IP addresses, the type of browser and device you use, the web page you visited before coming to our Site and identifiers associated with your devices. We use this information to help us design our Site to better suit our users’ needs. We may also use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website, analyze trends, track visitor movements and gather broad demographic information that assists us in identifying visitor preferences.

We may also use cookies and URL information to gather data regarding the information you searched and viewed on our Site. A “Cookie” is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. For example, cookies help us with things like remembering your username for your next visit, understanding how you are interacting with our Site and improving them based on that information. You can set your browser to not accept cookies, but this may limit your ability to use the Site. We may use both session Cookies (which expire once you close your web browser) and persistent Cookies (which stay on your computer until you delete them) to provide you with a more personal and interactive experience on our Site. Persistent Cookies can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

How We Use Your Personal Information

We collect, and associate with your account, the information you provide to us when you sign up for your account. We use other information about you for the following general purposes: to manage your account; to communicate with you in general; to respond to your questions and comments; to measure interest in and improve our Site; to otherwise customize your experience with this Site; to solicit information from you, including through surveys; to resolve disputes, collect fees or monies owed, or as otherwise necessary to provide you customer service; to prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities; to enforce our Terms of Use; and as otherwise described to you at the point of collection.

We may use technologies considered automated decision making or profiling. We will not make automated-decisions about you that would significantly affect you, unless such a decision is necessary as part of a contract we have with you, we have your consent or we are required by law to use such technology.

With Whom We Share Your Information

Generally: Your personal information will not generally be made publicly available without your prior consent.

Third Party Service Providers: We may share your personal information with third party service providers to assist us in providing the services on our Site, including to: handle payments and billing in connection with any transactions contemplated hereunder; process data; perform functions on our behalf; provide you with access to the Site; conduct quality assurance testing; facilitate creation of accounts; provide technical support; and develop and send you informational, marketing and promotional messages. We endeavor to require these third party service providers to not use your personal information other than to provide the services requested by us. We attempt to minimize the amount of personal information we disclose to what is directly relevant and necessary to accomplish the specified purpose. We do not sell, rent or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for their marketing and advertising purposes without your consent.

Third Party Rights Holders: In order to offer, facilitate and enhance the Site, we may share certain information about you with the songwriters, artists and/or producers (collectively, “Third Party Rightsholders”) who are offering their IP Royalty Rights on the App. Additionally, if you participate in an ISO to acquire IP Royalty Rights related to a particular Third Party Rightsholder, we may share your personal information with such Third Party Rightsholder for their informational, marketing and promotional purposes.

Transfer of Assets: We reserve the right to transfer your personal information to a buyer or other transferee in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, sale or other transfer of some or all of our assets. Should such a sale, merger or transfer occur, we will use reasonable efforts to direct the transferee to use your personal information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.

Other Disclosures: We may disclose personal information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary (a) to allow a merger, acquisition or sale of all or a portion of our assets; (b) in connection with any legal investigation; (c) to comply with relevant laws or to respond to subpoenas or warrants; (d) to protect or defend the rights or property of Vezt or users of the Site; and/or (e) to investigate or assist in preventing any violation, or potential violation, of the law, this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use.

We have no control over and are not responsible for any information you provide to a Third Party Rights Holder.

Your Choices Regarding Your Personal Information

We offer you choices regarding the collection, use and sharing of your personal information.

As discussed above, you can always choose not to provide information, even though it may be needed to access certain aspects and/or functions of the Site.

We may periodically send you free informational, marketing and promotional messages and e-mails that directly promote the use of the Site. When you receive informational, marketing and promotional communications from us, you may indicate a preference to stop receiving further communications from us and you will have the opportunity to “opt-out” by contacting us at support@vezt.co. If you receive communications from another third party, you must contact that entity to determine how you can “opt-out.”

We may also send you Site-related communications, including notices of any updates to our Terms of Use or Privacy Notice.

You have the right to know what personal information we maintain about you. We will provide you with a copy of your personal information in a structured, commonly used and machine readable format upon your written request. If your personal information is incorrect or incomplete, you have the right to ask us to update it. You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information. You can also ask us to delete or restrict how we use your personal information, but this right is determined by applicable law and, as previously mentioned, may impact your access to some of the services offered on our Site.

You can see, review and change most of your personal information by signing in to your account. Please update your personal information immediately if it changes or is inaccurate. We will honor any statutory right you might have to access, modify or erase your personal information. Where you have a statutory right to request access or request the modification or erasure of your personal information, we can still withhold that access or decline to modify or erase your personal information in some cases in accordance with applicable national laws.

If you request that we stop processing some or all of your personal information or you withdraw (where applicable) your consent for our use or disclosure of your personal information for purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, we might not be able to provide you all of the services and customer support offered to our users and authorized under this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.

Upon your request, we will close your account and remove your personal information from view as soon as reasonably possible, based on your account activity and in accordance with applicable national laws.
